MORE ON THE HOLY SPIRIT Part ONE : Ministry of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, Counsellor, Teacher that proceeded from the Father :and these things will happen WHEN the
Holy Spirit comes......So the Holy Spirit HAS come and is busy fulfilling these things now.
Jhn 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Jhn 15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Jhn 14:17
[Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;
for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Jhn 14:26
But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Jhn 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come
unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Jhn 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Jhn 16:14
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.
Luk 24:49
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power
from on high.
Act 2:33
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath
shed forth this, which ye now see and hear
Confirming that The Holy Spirit Comes from the Father and also the Father sent Jesus:
Jhn 8:42
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of
myself, but he sent me.
And that both Jesus AND the Father sent the Holy Spirit:
Rev 22:1
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
And that The Holy Spirit IS that promise , sent forth to take the place of Jesus on the Earth to impact the will of the King
of kings in the Earth By:
Glorifying Jesus:
Jhn 16:14
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.
Showing us all things:
Jhn 16:15
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.
Being made Manifest to believers
Act 2:33
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath
shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Is given to believers who obey God by receiving Jesus
Act 5:32
And we are his witnesses of these things; and [so is] also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Confirming the testimony of Christ
1Cr 1:6
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
Does signs and wonders and miracles
Hbr 2:4
God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according
to his own will?
Bears witness of the truth
1Jo 5:6
This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit
that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
Bears record of the truth together with the Father and the Son
1Jo 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And bears witness in of the truth in the Earth
1Jo 5:8
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
So we can see that the Holy Spirit was given by God and Jesus, through the intercession of Jesus, in His name and
ministers to the saints in these ways:
Communicates joy to saints
Rom 14:17; For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Gal 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
1Th 1:6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the
Holy Ghost:
Edifies the Church
Act 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear
of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Testifies of Christ
Jhn 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Imparts the love of God
Rom 5: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is
given unto us.
Imparts hope
Rom 15:13; Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power
of the Holy Ghost.
Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Teaches saints
Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Dwells with, and in saints
Jhn 14:17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but
ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Abides for ever with saints
Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Is known by saints
Jhn 14:17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but
ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
And also that the world (or those who don't know Jesus) cannot receive the Holy Spirit or what he says, because the god of
this world has blinded their minds and hearts.
JHN 14:17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye
know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
2Cr 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel
of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
The Anointing of the Holy Spirit is from God
2Cr 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God;
Psa 45:7
Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above
thy fellows.
Isa 59:21
As for me, this [is] my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that [is] upon thee, and my words which I have put in
thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith
the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
Isa 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent
me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound;
Act 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was with him
1Jo 2:20
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1Jo 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing
teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
THAT CHRIST SHOULD RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS FORETOLD
Psa 45:7;Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness
above thy fellows.
Isa 61:1; The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them
that are] bound;
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make
an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision
and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Fulfilled
Luk 4:18,21; The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath
sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised
Act 4:27; For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the
Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
10:38; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing
all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Hbr 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil
of gladness above thy fellows.
God preserves those who receive
Psa 18:50; Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
20:6; Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength
of his right hand.
89:20-23I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm
also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Saints receive
Isa 61:3; Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting
of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
1Jo 2:20 1Jo 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
Is abiding in saints
1Jo 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing
teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Jhn 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be
in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
2Jo 1:2
For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
Guides into all truth

Typified
Exd 40:13-15; And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto
me in the priest's office.
Lev 8:12; And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.
1Sa 16:13; Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD
came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
1Ki 19:16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint [to be] king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah
shalt thou anoint [to be] prophet in thy room.
Psa 133:2 [It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, [even] Aaron's beard:
that went down to the skirts of his garments;
