HOW MUCH DOES GOD LOVE YOU?

HOW MUCH DOES GOD LOVE YOU?

by Brother Charles

The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is mostly a symbolic account of the Christian Era and the conquering and retaking of the earth by Jesus Christ, and the setting up of His Kingdom.

The purpose of this book is pretty obvious, as it is written in the first verse of the book in chapter one.

There are about as many different interpretations of this book as there are denominations in the world. I personally prefer to stop interpreting it, and take a good look at what it really is and the encouragement and blessings it contains.

Most of the interpretations we see today focus on the negative aspects of the end of the world and judgments of God. If we focus on how it begins and how it ends, we get an entirely different picture altogether.

It's quite a difficult book to understand for the most part, and the reason I believe that is this:

Most people, when reading the book of Revelations, look to interpret it according to their own preconceived knowledge and what they have already been taught in the rest of the Bible.

They miss the whole purpose of the whole book written in that very first verse, which I really like a lot!

Rev 1:1

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: KJV

Notes Rev 1:1 [THIS IS] the revelation of Jesus Christ [His unveiling of the divine mysteries]. God gave it to Him to disclose and make known to His bond servants certain things which must shortly and speedily come to pass in their entirety. And He sent and communicated it through His angel (messenger) to His bond servant John, (AMPLIFIED Version)

Here, John is stating the whole purpose of the book of Revelations, which is to show to His servants things that would shortly come to pass.

This tells me a lot right here in this verse. This tells me that God is love, for one thing, and loves us unconditionally. In John 3:16 It says Jhn 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. KJV

AMPLIFIED John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

Now if God so greatly loved and dearly prized everyone in this world, even when we were all sinners, enough to give His only unique born of a virgin Son to die for our sins, don't you think He would love us even more AFTER we were born again, and serving Him enough to reveal to us His wonderful mysteries?

Do you believe that God loves you that much? I believe that He does! I believe that he loves us enough to reveal to us His very heart. And His heart is His will. "Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven" we even pray for God's will to be done don't we?

We , as God's children, are prized and set apart. We are valued highly and esteemed above all other people on the face of the earth because we chose to be chosen by God by our own free will.

God loves us because He is love, but God has chosen us and made us a special, "peculiar people" to Him. Not peculiar as it means in today's language, but as it says in the KJV of the Bible, meaning very precious. And this correct meaning is made clear in the Amplified Bible, as it translates it directly from the Strong's Lexicon meaning.

1Pe 2:9

But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: KJV

AMPLIFIED 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

[Exod. 19:5, 6.] Says: Exd 19:5
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine:

And in the Amplified it says: AMPLIFIED Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if you will obey My voice in truth and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own peculiar possession and treasure from among and above all peoples; for all the earth is Mine.

We are a treasure to the Lord. He counts us as His treasure. Do you have anyone in your life you esteem or value as a treasure? Your wife or husband? Your children? Other members of your family? Your friends? A dog or cat?

Well, you know how you feel about your treasure, right? Just magnify that one billion times or more and you will not even be able to begin to imagine how God Feels about you!

So now do you believe that God loves you? How much do you think He loves you? He loves you enough to reveal to you His
will, His plan for the world. His plan for you as you take part in His plan, and become a part of His overall work.

He loves you enough to speak to you in your spirit, to your heart. He said in John 10 that His sheep hear His voice, so if you are one of His sheep then you are constantly hearing His voice You just don't always realize that is what it is!

It says in Phl 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. in the King James Version of the Bible.

IN the AMPLIFIED version it reads : Philippians 4:8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

And why do you think God wants us to think on things that are TRUE, Honest, Just, Pure, Lovely, of good report, virtue, excellence,
things worthy of praise? And to think on them, and weigh them in our minds, and meditate on these things, and take account of these things? To fix them in our minds and hearts, these things that have to do with the Word of God, and love, and faith, and wonderful and marvelous things? The positive things, the good things, and to think the best possible way you can?

Because this is the way God thinks about US! And the way God thinks is much more superior to the way you or I could ever think about anything. But if we are following this criteria here, and thinking on the things He wants us to, we will be learning to think more and more like God.

We will be listening to His voice and hearing Him speak inside our spirits, and it will go from your spirit right to your heart, and into your mind, and it will manifest itself in your life.

These things you meditate on, if they are God's thoughts, then you can be sure that they will bring forth the fruits of the Spirit in your life.

This is how much God loves us, to lay down His life for us and also to give us His very thoughts! 1Cr 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. King James Version

AMPLIFIED 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

Wow, if you are thinking the thoughts of God, you will have the mind of Christ , because He has already given it to those who believe in Him. He has already provided His thoughts for you on the inside of your born again spirit, and obeying what this says here is doing your part which is faith.

Faith is doing your part, which is positively responding to what God has already done for us through Jesus.

I could go on and on about God and His unconditional wonderful love for you, but You have to experience it for yourself, in order for it to have any meaning in your life.

You need to take the Word of God and meditate on it. Think on it. Philippians 4:8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, (The Word of God) whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly,(The Word of God) whatever is just,(The Word of God) whatever is pure, (The Word of God) whatever is lovely and lovable,(The Word of God) whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, (The Word of the living God), if there is any virtue and excellence,(There is in The Word of God) if there is anything worthy of praise, (There IS in the Word of God) think on and weigh and take account of these things(The Words of God) [fix your minds on them]. (Fix your mind on the Words of God by meditating on it, and it will bring forth the revelation knowledge of God in your life.

God bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face to shine upon you, the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, In Jesus Name, Amen! See you next time!
