The Mountain of the Lord SCRIPTURES
Could it be that John was taken to the top of New Jerusalem to witness its decent to the earth?
Rev 21:10
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending
out of heaven from God,
Jesus often retreated to mountains to pray, get away or teach His disciples. Could it be that mountains can be symbolic of
the Heavenly city and that is why Jesus was so fond of them?
Jhn 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again
into a mountain himself alone.
Jhn 6:3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
Luk 9:28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a
mountain to pray.
Luk 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to
God.

Zec 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called
a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
Zep 3:11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will
take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, [that] the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the
top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the
God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
