THE TRUE NATURE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PART 4
Demonology and Psychic Power: The counterfeit of the Holy Spirit
I would like to address the occult practice of demonology and psychic power. In this letter I will focus on these things
and show how people have been deceived by evil spirits to believe that people possessing psychic powers were gifted by God
to see the future.
They attribute these psychic or mental powers to the Holy Spirit, the true power of God. People who can seemingly talk to
the dead, spirits in haunted houses or ships, or see spirits or "angels" are thought to have some gift from God that enables
them to possess these supernatural abilities beyond what science can explain.
I can tell you right now that if you do not know the Bible and what it has to say about this counterfeit of the Holy Spirit,
you will be deceived into following after people who have these "gifts".
And the power of the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit were 10 times more excellent than all of the astrologers, soothsayers,
fortune tellers, magicians, psychics and sorcerers of Daniel's day.
So NOW, in TODAY'S world in the time of the end the power of the Holy Spirit is more than 1000 times better than all of these
other counterfeits that try to impersonate the Holy Spirit in churches and Christian groups.
I will start in the Old Testament with Daniel: Dan 1:20
And in all matters of wisdom [and] understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all
the magicians [and] astrologers that [were] in all his realm.
The King, Nebuchadnezzar found Daniel and his friends ,Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego 10 times better! Becasue they had the
Spirit of the living God and not some second rate familiar spirit try to counterfeit God!
Dan 2:27
Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise [men], the
astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
Dan 2:28
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter
days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
Even with their psychic powers and familiar spirits they STILL could not tell what the king's dream was. They wanted to know
the dream FIRST, then tell the interpretation. Any fool can do that, AFTER they know the dream, but the king forgot the dream,
so he said if they tell him BOTH the dream and the interpretation, then he will know they are telling the truth.
Dan 4:7
Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they
did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.
They could not tell Nebuchadnezar what the dream meant, but Daniel was able to because he had the true Spirit of the living
God.
Dan 5:7
The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. [And] the king spake, and said to the
wise [men] of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet,
and [have] a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
Dan 5:8
Then came in all the king's wise [men]: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation
thereof.
Dan 5:15
And now the wise [men], the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known
unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:
Belashazzar the king saw some strange writing and a hand coming out of nowhere to write on his wall. Knees and bones shaking
he calls for all of his psychics, but none of them could tell the interpretation. He calls Daniel, and Daniel tells him what
it means, because Daniel was not a fake, he was the real thing!
Going back to Moses and Pharaoh in Egypt concerning the issue of "let my people go" Pharaoh had his magicians and psychics
there too. The devil cannot be everywhere at once, but he can be someplace at once, and he was there at the right hand of
pharaoh manifesting in tricks and psychic power.
Almost everything that Moses did by the power of the true God, Jannes and Jambres, the Pharaoh's magicians, could imitate
making it look to pharaoh that their gods were just as powerful as the true God, so that hardened Pharaoh's heart.
The Battle between Moses and the one true God and Pharaoh and his magicians then took place, and the psychic power of the
magicians could not stand or prevail against the mighty power of the Lord because the evil power of the magicians was much
more inferior than the power of God through Moses.
Exd 7:10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod
before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Exd 7:11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner
with their enchantments.
Exd 7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
Exd 7:21 And the fish that [was] in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of
the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
Exd 7:22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken
unto them; as the LORD had said.
Exd 8:6 And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
Exd 8:7 And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
Exd 8:17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became
lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
Exd 8:18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon
man, and upon beast.
Exd 8:19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This [is] the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened
not unto them; as the LORD had said.
Exd 9:10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became
a boil breaking forth [with] blains upon man, and upon beast.
Exd 9:11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon
all the Egyptians.
The boss of Moses and the boss of pharaoh had a contest, and the boss of Moses won. God's power is much more mighty than the
inferior power of Satan, because all Satan has is fear, and uses psychic power, which uses the carnal mind.
Romans says that the carnal mind is enmity with God because it is not subject unto the law of God neither in deed can be,
so that they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
The people who have psychic power and are using it in league with Satan and have made an agreement with him. They are yielding
their carnal mind over to Satan to use as a vehicle to cast his spells and enchantments like Jannes and Jambres, and do not
know how to discern the true power of the Holy Spirit.
Psychic power in the Webster dictionary is defined as: 1 : of or relating to the psyche : PSYCHOGENIC
2 : lying outside the sphere of physical science or knowledge : immaterial, moral, or spiritual in origin or force
3 : sensitive to nonphysical or supernatural forces and influences : marked by extraordinary or mysterious sensitivity, perception,
or understanding
So psychics have pshchic power that is not of God, not prophets. The strong's definition of a prophet in the Greek is:
one who, moved by the Spirit of God and hence his organ or spokesman, solemnly declares to men what he has received by inspiration,
especially concerning future events, and in particular such as relate to the cause and kingdom of God and to human salvation,
of men filled with the Spirit of God, who by God's authority and command in words of weight pleads the cause of God and urges
salvation of men, of prophets that appeared in the apostolic age among Christians,in the religious assemblies of the Christians,
they were moved by the Holy Spirit to speak, having power to instruct, comfort, encourage, rebuke, convict, and stimulate,
their hearers.
Psychics have been known to compare themselves with other modern day known psychics, and calls themselves prophets of God.

Sun Signs books were and still are widely read, to get to know people of a certain sun sign.
In the book of Jeremiah, if a prophet was wrong even ONCE the people were instructed NOT to listen to them anymore!
ASTROLOGY
Is this the true nature of the Holy Spirit? We read in Daniel where even the astrologers could not tell the kings their dreams
but Daniel comes along with the power of the Spirit of God and tells them everything they wanted to know!
This was also true of Joseph, who had a gift from the Spirit of God to interpret dreams, and it got him to the position of
second in Egypt. The prophets of God did not use astrology to foretell events. It was through the spirit of God that these
things were shown to them, NOT through any psychic powers of their own that they got from a spirit of divination.
FORTUNE TELLERS
IN ACTS 16, Paul deals with a fortune teller who had been following them around for a few days. He casts out the spirit of
divination from her.
Act 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which
brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
Act 16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto
us the way of salvation.
Act 16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name
of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
When you are intrigued by the supernatural, it is easy to get tripped off into worshipping these "gifts" and giving glory
to them instead of God. It becomes a form of idolatry, to seek unto these people with familiar spirits like King Saul did
in
1Sa 28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire
of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, [there is] a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
and he ended up dead!
1Ch 10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, [even] against the word of the LORD, which
he kept not, and also for asking [counsel] of [one that had] a familiar spirit, to enquire [of it];
Manasseh got into all kinds of spiritism and witchcraft and that got him in serious trouble with the Lord:
2Ch 33:1 Manasseh [was] twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:
2Ch 33:2 But did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD
had cast out before the children of Israel.
2Ch 33:3 For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim,
and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
2Ch 33:4 Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
2Ch 33:5
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
2Ch 33:6
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments,
and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
